1. Who we are
This website is operated as 3DSettings (“we”, “us”) at https://3dsettings.xyz/. For privacy requests email [email protected].
2. What this site is
3DSettings is a mostly static information and tools site (slicer settings, printer guides, cost calculators). Editorial content is managed in a headless WordPress CMS; the public pages are generated as static HTML.
3. Data we process
3.1 Server logs (necessary)
Our hosting/web server may automatically record technical request data such as IP address, date/time, requested URL, user agent, and referrer. This is used for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and capacity planning. Logs are retained only as long as needed for those purposes (typically up to 30–90 days, unless a longer period is required to investigate an incident).
3.2 Calculators (client-side only)
Print-cost and pricing calculators run in your browser. Values you enter are not sent to our servers unless you deliberately share a URL that contains query parameters you chose to copy.
3.3 Clipboard
Some “Copy” buttons use the browser Clipboard API. That action stays on your device; we do not receive clipboard contents.
3.4 Contact by email
If you email us, we process your email address and message content to respond. We do not use that correspondence for marketing.
3.5 WordPress / admin (editors only)
Site editors who log into WordPress use authentication cookies and account data strictly for CMS access. The public Astro front-end does not require a WordPress login.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Public pages do not set marketing, advertising, or analytics cookies. We do not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, ad networks, or similar trackers on the public site.
The only optional storage used by the public site is localStorage in your browser to remember that
you dismissed the privacy notice (key 3ds_privacy_notice_v1). That is not a cookie and is not sent to our servers.
Essential cookies may be set by the hosting stack or WordPress only when you use admin/login areas. Those are necessary for security and session management.
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Legitimate interests — operating a secure website, preventing abuse, understanding basic traffic via logs.
- Contract / pre-contract — answering a request you send us.
- Consent — only if we later introduce optional non-essential cookies or embeds; we will ask first.
6. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Hosting and infrastructure providers process technical data as processors on our behalf. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the site against abuse.
7. International transfers
Servers may be located in the EU or elsewhere. Where data leaves the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards provided by our hosting providers (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.
8. Retention
Server logs: short technical retention (see above). Email correspondence: as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted or archived if a legal obligation applies.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location (including GDPR / UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not “sell” or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined. You may request disclosure or deletion via the same email.
10. Children
The site is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.
11. Changes
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Significant changes will be reflected on this page.
